Updates

We'll regularly post updates regarding the current Corona restrictions and any changes to the wedding.
If you want to be informed via email, simply fill out our little form and we'll put you on the list.

Most importantly, we want you to feel safe. So please, if you are unsure about travelling or have any health conditions, don't feel bad to cancel. We understand, no hard feelings. Your health comes first.

To adhere to our Swiss and German heritage, we might introduce some bureaucracy and ask for some cool paperwork or play fun games like sticking swabs down our noses. We are, unfortunately, only half kidding. Obviously, we don't want to do that. But if it's necessary to have a (safe) party, we might.

Latest about a month before the wedding, we'll make a decision on how to proceed.

Cancelled: Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel the party/wedding reception on June 25 this year due to various reasons.
We nevertheless hope to see each and every one of you soon again - one place or the other.
  • September 6, 2021
We've got a new alternative date for the reception: June 25, 2022.
All else stays pretty much the same, though.

Yesterday the Swiss federal council proposed further steps to ease the current Coronavirus restrictions. While some are more positive, like for travel, the proposal unfortunately only allows for 30 people to attend a wedding under certain conditions. With numbers going down and vaccination picking up speed, we were hoping for a more favorable outcome. But it is what it is and we respect the government's plan.

Even though there might be some alterations by the time it will be approved later this month, we don't expect tremendous changes. Hence, we decided to postpone the reception/party to next year. A new attempt this year seems too uncertain. We will check in with all parties involved and will update you with a new date as soon as possible. Simply put down your email so we can easily reach you. (Those who already RSVPed don't need to sign up separately).

Thank you very much for your patience and your flexibility. We were really looking forward to partying with you.

The planned civil wedding ceremony a few days earlier will take place as planned, however.

The Swiss government did ease restrictions starting April 19, but weddings are still impacted. Given the rising numbers things remain unclear, but we hope for the best. Especially with vaccination efforts picking up speed.
